On night disturbances

I read with great interest the article "Shoot-out in club" in the front page of TKP 26 April 2000.
Superintendent of police Bharat Bahadur GC is very right in pointing out that this is the result of allowing businesses like clubs and discos to be opened in residential areas without giving much thought to it.

Mr S Rana seems to have lost his patience only some months after the opening of the club Verge Inn and the consequent loud noises coming out of this establishment.

Readers should consider and compare here the plight of the residents of Himalayan Heights, Tahachal (of which Mr Rana’s house is also a part) who have been complaining to various authorities for the last 10 to 12 years regarding the - dust, noises, all night traffic, construction noises (drills, banging etc) throughout the night, total destruction of the residential roads due to buses - all disturbances in a quiet residential neighbourhood. This is entirely due to the what goes on at "Casino Nepal",
