Lamjung DDC employees reinstated

BESISAHAR, Lamjung, Nov 11 (PR) - The Double Bench of the Supreme Court on Friday reinstated five employees who had been terminated from their services by the Lamjung District Development Committee last year.

The justice duo, Laxman Prasad Aryal and Gopal Prasad Khatri, ordered the DDC to reinstate the employees in their earlier post. Likewise, the Apex Court also ruled the DDC that the new appointments made by the DDC were contravened to the existing law and as such should be annulled.

Commenting on the Apex Court’s decision, DDC Chairman, Jamindra Man Ghale, said the Court’s decision had undermined the spirit of the law on local governance.

Non-gazetted officer Hari Bhakta Neupane, assistant accountant Chandra Prasad Timilsina, sub-overseer Rohini Raj Chiluwal and two peons Hast Bahadur Shrestha and Thir Bahadur Shrestha are among those who have been reinstated.
