Goal Project likely by February

KATHAMNDU, Nov 14 - Paul Mani Samuel, Development Officer of FIFA Goal Project Asia, today extended full support to the Ganesh Thapa led ANFA (All Nepal Football Association) and said that the Project is most likely to be approved by February.

In a press meet held today to brief the journalists about Goal Project of FIFA, he said that FIFA recognizes Ganesh Thapa and his executives as ANFA. He further added that the goal project could be completed in Nepal if ANFA shows the kind of commitment it has shown so far. Samuel is on a visit to Nepal to inspect the football facilities and the condition of regional football associations. After the inspection and talks with the ANFA officials, he will send his recommendation to the World football governing body FIFA.

Speaking to the press, he said that Nepal is among the eight probable asian countries selected by FIFA to which the goal project could be awarded. The other countries are Macau, Cambodia, Laos, Lebanon, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Yemen.
