25 teams expected for Birthday Cup

KATHMANDU, Nov 22 - The forth coming Birth-Day Cup which will kick off from 23rd December. 25 teams are expected to participate in the prestigious championship. 12 A division teams from Kathmandu, Mahendra Police Club and Tribhuwan Club, Eastern Region XI, Western Zone XI will fight it out against the teams from the neighbouring countries. SikkimXI, BhutanXI, MaldievsXI, DarjellingXI, Calcutta’s A Division Team, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Songshil University of Korea are expected in the tournament a press release issued by Geeta Rana led ANFA states.

Each participating teams will be awarded with a cash of Rs. 5000 while the teams entering the quarterfinals will be awarded with a cash of Rs. 7000 and the teams entering the semi-finals and finals will be awarded Rs. 10,000 each according to the press release.
