Plumbing training organised

BHAKTAPUR, Oct 10 (RSS) - A two-month training in plumbing conducted under the joint auspices of the Rural Development Society Nepal, Madhyapur Thimi and Skill Nepal concluded recently.

Speaking at the concluding function, Raj Babu Shrestha, Executive Director of Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Fund Development Committee informed that the rural drinking water projects are currently being implemented at some 900 places in the various rural areas of the country and about 200 technicians are engaged in these projects.

Madan Krishna Shrestha, Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi, Gopal Lama, Chief Trainer at Skill Nepal and Ratna Kaji Shrestha spoke about the necessity and importance of the skill development training.

Altogether 20 persons from among the poor and oppressed communities took part in the training.
