RCC defeat Lalitpur

KATHMANDU, Oct 11 - Shyam Chaityna Baba Memorial Second Dashain Trophy Cricket Tournament 2000, organised by International Social Service & Releif Organization kicked off from today. The match turned out to be one sided as RCC defeated Lalitpur U - 19 by a big margin of 74 runs.

After winning toss RCC batted first and notched up a match winning total of 200 for 7 in 30 overs. The inning saw a breathtaking knock from Sagar Pant who went on to score 98 glorious runs. The other inning of note was played by Viki Rauniyar who made 43 runs.

Chasing the target at an asking rate of well over six an over, the under 19 team from Lalitpur were never in the hunt as they were folded for 126 runs. The inning lasted 28.2 overs.

The top scorer for Lalitpur came off the bat of Bhaskar who made 19. Sunny for RCC was the most successful bowler claiming 3 wickets while early damage was done by Sudir and Sunil, both of them claimed two wickets apiece.

Sagar Pant was the obvious choice for the man of the match.
