Motorbiking ends
KATHMANDU, Sept 26 (PR) - All four
participants of Yamaha YBX Cross Country completed the motorbiking adventure covering a
total of 1105 km long East-West highway by reaching Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur district
and overcoming a number of obstacles on the way this morning today.
The distance from Birtamod, Jhapa in the
Far East to Mahendranagar in the Far-West was completed in 21 hours and thirty five
minutes without switching the 4-stroke-bike-engines off.
The riders had to face a numbers of
hardships along the East-West highway, particularly the unexpected rains while crossing
the swollen rivers in many places. Participants of the adventure had to wait for about an
hour due to traffic barricade by locals at Lothar, eastern part of Chitwan district.
The riders were flagged-off at Birtamod at
8:00 am yesterday by Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Narendra Bikram
Nembang amidst a function.
Paras Yadav, 25, from Birgunj, BN Singh,
35, from Biratnagar, Shiva Shrestha, 27, from Pokhara and Ramhari Silpakar, 27, also from
Pokhara were the riders of the Cross Country adventure.

organised by Morang Auto Works (MAW), an authorised dealer of Yamaha Escorts in Nepal.
