Poor temples
I was shocked
that the government wants to build a shopping complex also in the temple.
A news in The
Kathmandu Post says that a government body earns 103 million rupees but it cannot
construct the rest houses. It is a shame.
We donate for
charities in our countries from our cigarette money because we love Nepal and also the
beautiful temples. But the Nepal government is not interested to take care. I think Nepal
government is rich enough to rebuild all the temples of the country. Then why are we
sending donation and where does it go? We need an answer.
I am not clear
what is Guthi Sansthan? Why does it have the right to make decision on temples. In
our country, temples are above government offices. Sometimes, even above law. It has its
laws. Here, government earns so much money from the temple but still the temples are poor.
The local
people are only against leaders. They must protest against such government bodies.
We come here
to enjoy the temples. If the temples are not in good condition, tourists will not come and
I see there are no big industries except tourism. A big policy must be there to conserve
the heritage of Nepal.
