San Miguel Golf kicks off Post Report KATHMANDU, April 13 - CB Bhandari took a lead in with his excellent performance in the senior event of the San Miguel Golf Challenge held at Royal Nepal Golf Club today. Min Bahadur Rawat, DB Basnet, Gopal Chitrakar and Madhukar Yakthumba are also giving tough fight in the same event. In the super senior event, Khadagjeet Baral and Eu Hajur Thapa are taking the lead. Norbu Sherpa is leading the junior category of the tournament held earlier today. The tournament starting from today is jointly organized by Mt. Everest Brewery and Royal Nepal Golf Club. The final event of the each categories will be played on Saturday. Post Report KATHMANDU, April 13 - Ace Institute Of Management (AIM) defeated Malpi International 57-47 in a closely fought match of the first Little Angels College Of Management (LACM) Inter-College basketball tournament held here today. Malpi boys who were in the lead during the first quarter of the very competitive match were later dominated by AIM. The drizzle during the second half helped the Ace boys to surge their scores ahead. Samip Shrestha of Malpi with his excellent performance gave a tough run to his opponents. Meanwhile, Sagun Kansakar of Ace was very good at rebounds to keep the score piling for his team. Ace boys cashing on the free shots were successful in turning the tournament in their favor. Dr Trilokya Nath Uprety, former vice chancellor distributed the trophies and the medals to the winning teams and players at the end of the tournament. Samip Thapa with 109 points, was presented the highest scorers medal. Ravi Gurung of Malpi was declared the most valuable player of the tournament. The tournament was participated in by 8 colleges from around the valley. The main motto of this tournament according to Umesh Shrestha, the chairman of LACM, was to built a healthy relationship between the colleges and to promote and encourage the game of basketball in the country. |
