Xaviers’ thrash Lincoln 12-1

Kathmandu, April 15- St Xaviers’ Jawalakhel trounced Lincoln School 12-1
in the pool A match of the St Xaviers’ inter-school staff football tournament held
here today.
The one-sided game saw two hat-tricks scored by Xaviers’ stars Subash
Lama and Om. The only goal for Lincoln was scored by Gaurav.
In the other pool B match, St. Xavier Godavari beat Angel’s Heart School
1-0 in a vigorously fought match. The only goal of the game was scored by Fr. A. Pradhan
in the 37th minute of the match.
In another closely fought match between Gyanodaya and St. Xavier’s
Godavari teams, Gyanodaya managed to win the match with 4-3 score. Godavari successfully
gave a tough time to their opponents scoring two goals to equal with the Gyanodaya team.
But in the second half, Gyanodaya surged ahead with two additional goals. Laxman of
Godavari with excellent hat-trick kept the pressure throughout the match.
Tomorrow’s match will be played between St. Xaviers’ vs DAV School
and Little Angels’ vs Angel Heart School.
