NBCCI promoting bilateral trade: Nash

KATHMANDU, April 24 - Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI), a bi-national chamber to promote bilateral trade relation, managed and organized the British Pavilion at the Eleventh Himalayan Expo held from 20 to 24 April.

Ronald P Nash, British Ambassador to Nepal and the Patron of NBCCI, speaking at a press meet organized here today said that they have been trying to bring British companies to Nepal. "In order to promote Nepal-Britain trade, the NBCCI has been managing and organizing the Pavilion for the past five years."

The British Pavilion had 32 stalls of 22 companies including multinationals. Airlines, shipping, generator manufacturer, cosmetics, lubricants, alcoholic beverages, banking hotel and tourism, security, education and information technology related companies participated in the Expo under the British Pavilion.

NBCCI president Rajendra Kumar Khetan said that various sectors were covered by well-known companies to promote bilateral business and to create awareness about British products and educational schemes among the visitors.

The British Pavilion is sponsored by the Trade Partners, UK and promoted by the British Embassy in Nepal.
