ANFA picks 46 footballers
for SAF Games

KATHMANDU, Aug 7 - Forty-six footballers made it
through the preliminary selection for the upcoming 9th South Asian Federation (SAF) Games
sheduled for October 6-15 in Islamabad, Pakistan, the
Geeta Rana led All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) said in its press release Tuesday.
The squad, which has been selected on the basis
of performance in the recently concluded 25th National Football Championship, will undergo
a closed-camp training from August 9.
The players who have been selected for the camp
are:
Far-Western Region: Bipin Singh Dhami, Lalit
Chand and Lokendra Dev Chand; Mid-Western Region: Deep Shrestha, Pradeep Rana, Ritesh
Khadka, Prahlad BC and Jabbar Ahmed; Western Region: Janak Bhatta, Rajendra Tamang, Bishal
Gauchan, Chandra Gurung, Bil Tamang, Raj Kumar Shrestha, Madhu Karki and Dipendra Tamang;
Central Region: Narayan Manandhar, Ramesh Gyawali, Kailash Dangol, Ujjwal Manandhar, Aita
Singha Tamang, Raj Kumar KC, Gibesh Pandey, Naresh Shrestha, Naresh Thapa, Janak Singh,
Binod Khadki and Lokesh Thapa; Eastern Region: Dipendra Poudel, Surendra Tamang, Suraj
Khaling, Hari Thakuri, Prabesh Katuwal, Bishwa BAndhu Pokhrel, Purna Subba, Anil Subba and
Ritesh Thapa; Mahendra Police Club: Ananta Thapa, Rajiv Joshi, Kishor Subba, Raju Katuwal
and Ramesh Budhathoki; Tribhuvan Club: Prakash Ranamagar, Kedar Shrestha, Manoj Thapa and
Mahendra Bishwas Khawas. |
