KATHMANDU, Aug 9 (PR)- Led by Duran
Sherchan’s hat-trick, New Millenium School defeated Birendra Army School 4-0 in the
opening match of the Inter-school ANFA Youth Football Championship organised by Geeta Rana
led All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Thursday.
Sherchan scored his first goal in the fourth
minute and fired in his second in the 15th minute. He netted his third and the last goal
in the 57th minute. Bijay Mahat was the other goalscorer for the Millenium team. His goal
came in the 81st minute of the game.
For the Birendra Army School, no goal was
scored.
The tournament was inaugurated by Deep Kumar
Upadhyay, former Minister of State and chairman of the Rupak Memorial Foundation.
Elite’s Co-ed (Red) will take on RIBS in
the first match on Friday while Dipendra Police School will face Wilson Academy in the
second. |
