concludes
Post Report
KATHMANDU, Dec 14 Youth Coaching Seminar,
the five-day workshop for the junior team coaches, concluded here at the All Nepal
Football Association complex at Satdobato on Friday.
The seminar, held by Holgar Obermann under the
German NOC programme, aimed at uplifting the Nepali football standard drew a total of 45
participants from the countrys A division clubs and various districts.
At the concluding ceremony, Obermann donated 500 balls to the ANFA to be used for the
training of young boys across the nation.
Speaking at the occasion, Obermann said that the
purpose of the personal donation was to help young footballers benefit from what he taught
to the young coaches.
"I want the coaches to go home and pick
teams of boys under the age group of 12 to 14 and start training them the things they
learnt here," said Obermann. "I donated the balls because I didnt want the
boys training to be hampered due to lack of facilities."
He expressed his satisfaction with the training
held for the last six days. "This was the best group I have ever had in almost 500
seminars I have conducted in last 20 years," he said.
Assistant attache´ at the German Embassy to
Nepal, Ralf Kozner, presented the participants of the seminar with the certificates at the
ceremony.
He vowed that German government would do all it
can to uplift Nepali football. "We hope to see Nepal at the 2006 World Cup in
Germany," he said. |
