Wrong notion

Japanese people are by nature very soft -spoken, friendly and tolerant. They might have inherited this culture from time immemorial. But, many people with high frequency of hobnobbing with the Japanese say that the tolerance and soft culture of the Japanese is in practice primarily in the aftermath of the Hiroshima incident.

As the world has passed through many twists and turns, Japanese have also learnt to live with the tune of time. The globalisation of economy and localisation of society syndrome have manifested cascading effect on the abrupt change in the erstwhile worthy etiquette apparently practiced by the majority of the Japanese. As the impact of the globalisation started proliferating, the millennium’s donor driven conceit culture also started proliferating in the heart and minds of the Japanese. This is more evident if one encounters the Embassy staffs stationed at Kathmandu. Most of the Diplomats stationed at Kathmandu have harboured the wrong notion that all the Nepalese are beggars, may be inspired by their ego as a major donor. Let us not shrink our attitude and mentality in delivering a lip service despite attaining a worldly recognition. In spite of the treatment, we still recognize your outstanding socio-economic performance carried all over the world, and do expect many worthy projects for the future. Irrespective of your magnanimity, we however will keep knocking your door seeking for the necessary cooperation mainly in the deprived fields of our national focus.
