Training on disaster control held

DAMAULI (PR)- Participants of a training programme organised to raise awareness of natural disasters, underlined the need to constitute the Government’s Natural Calamity Rescue Section (NCRS) as a separate body.

The one-day training programme was organised here on Wednesday by the NCRS of the Home Ministry.

Mayor of Vyas Municipality, Dhrub Wagle, the chief guest at the programme, also stressed that this department needed to be accorded individual identity to make it scientific and ensure its reliability.

About 30 people, including government office chiefs, representatives from Non-Government Organisations, teachers, social workers and intellectuals, participated in the training. Chief District Officer Mod Raj Dotel presided over the training programme.
