Singh, Rana take Valentine Cup

KATHMANDU, Feb 10 (PR) - Hridheswor Kumar Singh and Deepti RL Rana won the Valentine Golf tournement 2001 by 34 points organized by Royal Nepal Golf Club, Tilganga.

Dip B. Basnet and Binita Basnet secured the second place while Mahendra Suwal stood third and another pair Prachanda B. Shrestha and Mrs Shrestha secured fourth place. Gyan P. Karmacharya finished in the fifth place.

Dipak Raj Bhandari and his wife won the award for the longest drive while Thomas Fisler and his lady partner bagged the prize for closest to the pin while CB Ghale and his female partner won the lucky seven.

S.K. Singh and his family was awarded the best Valentine Family while Prajwal Rana was presented with the Door Prize of Helicopter Joy Ride.

Chief of the Army Staff, Prajwal Sansher JBR gave away the Valentine trophy to the victorious teams who finished.

Those securing first and second in Caddie Lucky Draw were awarded cash prize of Rs 1000.

Mrs Prajwal Rana, Pakistani Ambassador and Hegen gave away the prizes to the participants.

Rupy Singh, co-ordinator of the tournament and lady captain of the RNGC gave the vote of thanks at the closing ceremony.
