Malpi observes sports day

KATHMANDU, Feb 11 - The Malpi International
School, Panauti celebrated its annual sports day by organizing a host of track and field
events on Saturday.
Ambris SJB Rana secured the first position in
the boys Shot-put while Bishesh Man Shrestha stood second followed by Shashwat
Karki. In the girls event, Elisa Sharma grabbed the top position followed by Nirajprabha
Kansakar in the second spot and Adisna Rani Gurung in the third.
In the long jump event, Nibesh Tamrakar led
the group as Kejal Dewakar followed him in the second spot while Sarin Das Shrestha stood
third. Among the girls, Elisa Sharma again took the gold as Ayushma Amatya and Nirajprabha
Kanshakar took silver and bronze respectively.
Shashwat Karki won the gold in Discuss throw
while Bishesh Man Shrestha took silver followed by Surath Bastola in bronze. Among the
girls, Samita Malla secured the first position followed by Moon Sharma Kajal. In the 800
meters race, Kejal Dewakar was the fastest followed by Askan Malla and Sarin Das Shrestha
respectively. The girls cricket ball throw saw Samita Malla win the contest with Satikshi
Rimal finishing second.
Nibesh Tamrakar won the boys pentathlon as
Kejal Dewakar and Surath Bastola finished second and third respectively. Nibesh also won
the Malpi cross country race while Kiran Shrestha won the triathlon.
The successful athletes were awarded by
Deepak Sherchan, chairman of the school, at a function held here. |
