Nepal U-17 team leaves for Bangladesh

KATHMANDU, Feb 14 - Nepali Under - 17 cricket team today left for Bangladesh to participate in Under - 17 Asia Cup cricket tournament starting from February 15, this year.

The team was led by Biraj Pyakurel, secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). Aftab Baluch, former Pakistan test cricketer, is coach of the team. Assistant coach Jagat Tamata, sports journalist Hemanta Kafle and Umpire Manohar Adhikari also accompanied the squad.

The team was seen off by Binod Shankar Palikhe, Secretary of National Sports Council (NSC) at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The Nepali squad: Shakti Prasad Gauchan (captain), Kanisk Chaugain, Prem Chaudhary, Basanta Regmi, Dipesh Khatri, Munik Kumar Shrestha, Pramod Basnet, Manjit Shrestha, Manoj Katuwal, Yaswant Subedi, Lakpa Lama, Javed Alam, Rohit Sharma and Irfan Siddiqui.
