KATHMANDU, Dec 31- The Birthday cup football tournament organised by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to mark 56th Birthday of His Majesty King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev entered its second day today here at Dasarath Stadium, Tripureswor.

Friends Club steered a 2-1 win over Boy’s Union Club today in the first match.

Jibes Pandey missed a crucial 20 yarder in the 18th minute. Sushil K.C., captain of the Friends Club displayed his superb balance in either foot.

Boy’s Union suffered through because of lack of co-ordination in the first half. Subash Lama of Boy’s Union took the challenge to the opposition when he netted a goal for his team from a close range in the 63rd minute.

The game gave a more watching pleasure in the second half when Boy’s Union started off more offensive. However, Boy’s Union suffered more through a depressing sequence of missed shots.
