Super Six Cricket into semis

KATHMANDU, Jan 6 - Shashis Holiday team entered the
semi-final of the Super Sixes Cricket tournament defeating TAAN and Hotel Hyatt in the
pool matches played today.
In the first pool match of the day, Shashis team
defeated TAAN by 17 runs. Batting first in the five-over essay, Shashis scored 83
runs. The TAAN boys could not chase the target and scored only 66 runs at the expense of a
wicket.
In their second match they defeated Hotel Hyatt by 22 runs.
Chasing the victory target of 61 runs, Hyatt could only manage 38 runs, losing the match
by 22 runs.
In other matches played today, Mountain Air defeated NATA by
36 runs. Batting first Mountain Air scored 79 runs and limited the NATA team in 43 runs.
East West overseas team defeated Soaltee Crowne Plaza by 6 wickets. They chased the
victory target of 43 runs set by Soaltee without losing any wicket.
In their second match Soaltee Crowne Plaza defeated Embassy
of Pakistan by 6 runs. Scoring 56 runs after batting first, they limited the Pakistan team
to 50 runs for which they lost two wickets. Yeti Air also won their match defeating hosts
NATA by 10 runs.
The remaining pool matches, the semi-finals and the final
will be played tomorrow.
