Dirty money

Neither ‘dirty money’ nor ‘dirty dancing’ can be washed clean. Because the former buys power while the latter excites power.

Here in Nepal dirty money is found in small denominations of rupee one, two, five and ten. They travel fast from hand to hand. The higher denomination notes remain comparatively clean as they are handled by fewer people.

Recently, The Kathmandu Post warned against kissing, as it was reported, spread AIDS/HIV. What about these dirty and soiled notes that pass from hand to hand? Don’t they spread such a disease ? I think the spread of AIDS/HIV due to the transaction of dirty and soiled notes is faster than what The Kathmandu Post reported and should be regarded as a greater threat in spreading of AIDS/HIV.

In the capital the disposal of waste has become a major problem. Would there be a problem in the disposal of soiled and dirty notes? I really don’t think so. Our political leaders would only be too happy to offer their estates and bungalows as a dumping and disposal ground for such dirty and soiled notes.
