Jawalakhel win by 9 wickets

Post Report

KATHMANDU, Jan 19- Sushil Chaugai and Pratik Pradhan inspired Jawalakhel Youth Club to a stunning nine wickets victory over rivals Kihashu team in the ongoing Birthday Cup League Cum Knockout cricket championship being played here.

Kihashu won the toss and elected to bat first but they soon found themselves in trouble as Chaugain and Pratik claimed four wickets apiece to destroy the batting of Kihashu. The Kihashu inning lasted just 15 overs that produced 73 runs. For Kihashu it was the batting of Jishan that stood out. Jishan made a polished 27 runs.

Chasing a modest total, Jawalakhel romped home in 11.5 overs losing just a single wicket. It was the turn of other Chaugain, Kanisk who made 20 runs and Sameer Thakur who made 25, to lead their team to victory.

The man of the match award went to Sushil Chaugain.

Yeti Airlines will clash with Nepal Medical Representative And Sales Association in the match tomorrow.
