KATHMANDU, Jan 24- Bishal Bazar Cricket Club
beat Kihasu Logistics by 9 wickets Wednesday in the Birthday Cup league cum knock-out
cricket tournament organized by Everest College Cricket Academy being played at Tundikhel
ground.
Kihasu elected to bat winning the toss,
scored 51 runs losing 10 wickets in 18 overs in which Rahul hammered 14 off 26 balls
including three fours and Kashi Bhusal scored 9 runs off 16 balls including two fours
while five batsmen of Kihasu were out without scoring.
Vardhan Chalise took three wickets in 2.5
overs conceding no runs, Sanjeev Gupta took two wickets in seven overs, conceding 21 runs
while another bowler Manas Mitra took four wickets in six overs conceding 14 runs.
In reply, Bishal Nagar Cricket Club piled 52
runs in just 7.5 overs as Man Mohan Sharma scored 16 runs off 10 balls including three
boundaries, Bhaskar Roy scored 10 off 18 balls, Virendra Shah scored 13 runs off 12 balls
as they defeated Kihasu by 9 wickets.
Bowlers, Umesh Upadhaya took one wicket
conceding 15 runs in three overs and rest of the bowlers of Kihasu could not take any
wicket.
Bardhan Chalise, was declared the man of the
match for his bowling performance.
Bishal Bazar Cricket club play Yeti Airlines
on January 28.
