This refers to the article entitled
"Market-discarded industries and bank loans", written by Surya Chandra Shrestha
( July 16), has raised confusion, regarding the contribution of the agricultural sector to
GDP growth. According to the article, the contributions of manufacturing, community and
social services, transport, communications and storage sectors and other sectors to GDP
are 3.2%, 2.6%, 1.9%, and 0.1 to 0.50% respectively.
The agricultural sector has lost a 9.4% point.
This is exactly the gain of the non-agricultural sector in the last 11 years. How is it
possible since the total sum of gain of the above non-agricultural sectors comes to 7.8%?
