National Games postponed

KATHMANDU, June 2 - The National Sports
Council (NSC) has decided to postpone the 5th National Games until further notice, slated
to kick off here in the capital tomorrow.
"In due of the unfortunate situations at
present in the country, we would like to inform all sports lovers, players, coaches,
administrators, referees and judges that the fifth National Games is being postponed till
further notice," a press release issued today by the NSC says.
No matches were played today in Squash, an
event of the meet which started off yesterday. Karate, scheduled to start today, was also
postponed until the National Games resumes. |
