Irresponsible behaviour

Iwas mortified by the deplorable behaviour of Speaker of the Lower House, Taranath Ranabhat when he read out the Commission report at the press conference on June 14, 2001. Didn’t he realise he was talking about events that had deeply traumatised the nation ? He trivialised the occasion by his unthoughtful and superficial behaviour. It was quite unnecessary to read the translated version in his terrible English. He should have got someone fluent in English to read or could have circulated the translated version to the foreign press.

After huffing and puffing his way through the English text, he seemed to have lost all senses of the sombre occasion and stooped to buffoonery by fooling around with the weapons which had killed the King, Queen and eight other members of the Royal Family. He not only made a fool of himself in front of the world media but has brought shame and disgrace to Nepal and the Nepalis.
