The Ministry of Education and Sports has approved the expected budget of Rs 46,072,510 for the Meet. A 151-member organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Minister for Education and Sports.

Answering to the queries raised by the pressmen, State Minister Badu said that the Parliament’s Public Account Committee (PAC) will decide whether the NSC was involved is corruption during the eight SAF Games. "The involvement of PAC in this matter can be taken as start of positive trend to curb the corruption in the NSC," said Badu.

However, NSC Member-Secretary, Binod Shankar Palikhe, denied the charges on him and said that he was accused because of a biased report presented before the Committee. "The NSC was never involved in the financial dealing during the eighth SAF Games," he said. "All the allegations of corruption made against me are due to personal prejudices," he added.

Speaking about the matter of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) controversy, State Minister Badu reassured the press to solve it as soon as possible. "It is just a matter of days to find the solution to this problem," he added.

However, Geeta Rana, President of the ANFA backed by the NSC, said that either the team affiliated to her will participate in the World Cup selection match or Nepal will not send the team at all.
