Post Report KATHMANDU, March 4 - H.K. Singh won the Everest Cup Golf Competition, held on Saturday, with 34 points making it a hat-trick for him. Prior to this victory, he won the Valentine, Yak and Yeti tournament. One point behind him, on 33, Deepak Rajbhandary took second place. The senior winner was Min Bahadur Rawat. In the ladies competition, U. Thapa came first and Spandan Lama won the junior section.The most birdies was hot by Raj Pradhan, the longest drive by Gopal Chitrakar, the nearest to the pin was M. Yakthumba and the bogey winner was M.R. Kim. Sharik Lari of Everest Hotel distributed the prizes to the winners. KATHMANDU, March 4 (PR)- Mechi team snatched the Madan Ashrit Memorial Cup defeating Jawalakhel Youth Club in the final of the men’s tournament held here today. In the final game held earlier today Mechi team scored 25-18, 25-27, 25-20, 16-25 and 15-13 in the tough battle for the trophy. In the girls event , Jawalakhel Youth Club defeated Laxmi Wood Craft Industry to claim the title of the tournament. Jawalakhel girls scored 18-25, 21-25, 25-23 and 15-13 in the five set match against the their opponents. The chief guest, KP Oli, leader of the CPN-UML gave away the prizes and certificates to the winning teams. Post Report KATHMANDU, March 4 - Sher Bahadur Sherchan, Uddab Bhandari, Bhuwan Shrestha and Ang Kami Lama defeated their opponents in the 4th day of the preliminary round matches of the First Surya Nepal Snooker Challenge held at Cosmos Solarium, Tripureshor today. In the match between Angkami Lama and Anil Bhakta Suwal, Lama scored 43-73, 72-32, 77-57 and 100-21 in the five sets straight win. Likewise, Niraj Gurung, Karma Gurung, Mohammed Shah and Bhaskar Shah, Chakra Lama, Rajen Lama, Suresh Gorkhali, Suraj Lal Shrestha, Rajan Shakya, Niranjan Nepali, Dinesh Nepali, Sujan Malakar and Niran Nepali also entered the next round of the tournament defeating their opponents held at various snooker parlor of the capital today. |
