KATHMANDU, March 6 - Saroj Kumar Mulmi defeated Udav Bhandari scoring 70-37,
97-19, 79-19, 81-29 and 67-46 in the pre-quarter finals of the First Surya Nepal Snooker
Challenge held at Cosmos Solarium, Tripureshor today.
In the match between Angkami Lama and Bhuban Shrestha, Lama won the match
scoring 46-36, 67-17, 92-14, 37-69, 80-55, 14-74, 7-31 and 24-74 in the close fought sets.
Likewise, Niran Gurung and Bhaskar Shah entered the next round of the
tournament defeating their opponents in the matches held at Everest snooker held earlier
today.
Sonam Gurung, Shyam Khadgi, Bikas Rayamajhi, Tashi Wanchong, Prasanta
Bajracharya, Ashis Man Singh, Sanjay Lama and Rajen Lama were also successful in winning
their games in the matches held at various snooker parlors today.
