Illegal activities in college
Iam a first year student of MA sociology at Tri-Chandra
campus. I got admitted by following a lengthy process. Initially, the campus management
admitted 200 students as per the scores in the entrance examination. However, it now seems
that all those, who had appeared in the MA entrance exams and failed to score minimum
marks, are likely to be admitted in my class. If this is so, then what is the use of
taking entrance examinations that are an extra burden of both time and money? Moreover,
recently I came to know that the Student Union is still taking admissions from those who
had not taken even the entrance examinations. They have been charging 3,675 rupees to
those who had not sat in the entrance examinations. If entrance exams could be waived by
paying some extra charge, then what is the use of such entrance exams? I would like to
know, where does the extra money go? Tribhuvan University has often been condemned for its
mismanagement. I request the college management to immediately stop such activities and
ensure free and impartial rules to impart better education. There are students who posses
fake certificates and who run after the students unions just to get admission. There are
students who attend class to disturb other students. They get admission with the help of
the students union. Better stop polluting education institutions.
