I found the article entitled "Politics, art or science?" by Shreedhar Khanal, published in The Kathmandu Post on 27 March very interesting. The writer said that "politicians always conduct experiments in all the major aspects of the nation but make no observation on development". He emphasized the basic rules of science, experiment, observation and inference. But our politicians are hanging onto the first step (ie, experiment) only. They never go on to observation and inference.

This fact is the major cause of failure of development strategies in Nepal. We have barely found a politician who learns from his mistakes.
