This is not in response
to any of the articles related to Bhutanese refugee issue published Nepal has taken this issue seriously and promptly. I must admit this, due to the steps and stand taken by Nepal during the recent talks. On the other hand, in the eyes of international community Bhutan has shown its white teeth as if the case is of serious concern and has lied to the whole world. In reality, the very important issue has become just a gag for the Druk regime. The wearer knows where the shoe pinches. Truly speaking, who has seen the real ados wrapped by the very evasive regime upon the genuine citizens? For how long democratic Nepal remains betrayed by a mere drama of autocratic dreams? By this time everyone has tested all sorts of representatives from Bhutan. It is sure and certain that even if an ant enters Shital Niwas representing the Druk regime, it will not trace any other sorts of mark other than what is done before. Now, Nepal must be able to change the mode of talks. As far as I am concerned, so far with the fictitious nature of Druk representatives of bygone days, no fruitful result will be achieved unless the mode is altered. As a victim I would like to request the good governance: talks must resolve the issue and win the goodwill of more than 100,000 refugees. The King himself must represent Bhutan and the victims must be represented by TN Rizal. And, the team of Nepal must include Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, Chakra Prasad Bastola and KP Sharma Oli. Then only I believe the so-called talks could bring about some concrete results. Any low level talks has no meaning upon this critical issue. For more than ten years a dirty game has been played upon our fate and future. If, after all, this above-mentioned talks too failed, then Nepal should not hesitate to open the door towards India and the US as stated by Dr DNS Dhakal on the Nov 12 TKPs article. R Narayan
