Personal opinion
The recent devastating assaults on the World
Trade Centre and the Pentagon in the US have become the central gossip among the people of
the world. And I am also not isolated from this tragedy. From the core of my heart, I
belong to none of the religions of the world but I do respect all the religions. So, I
support the idea of the religious leaders of the world and the Muslim people who are
living in different parts of the world that the violence through which America is trying
to suppress the terrorism is a wrong step.
But I strongly support the idea that a
selective use of violence against a violence is also a kind of nonviolence. And the war
against the terrorists in Afghanistan will also be a selective use of violence provided
the innocent people are safely sheltered and saved from starvation. It is bias and unwise
to say that the war would be against the Muslim community. Afghanistan had already invited
adversity before this terrific attack by destroying the symbol of peace, the colossal
statues of Lord Buddha, despite the appeal made by the whole world.
But no Afghans or Muslim people who are
living in other parts of the world were ill-treated. From this also it is clear that the
world has no enmity against the Muslim people but against terrorism whichever communities
the terrorists belong to. If this horrific tragic event is lost in oblivion, then this
will give birth to a more terrific one. Its wise to compromise for the better result
but its foolish to compromise if it manures an evil.
