Think it

I was surprised when I read the news of Indian Foreign Minister’s comments on Maoist insurgency in Nepal. Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh, no doubt, went one step ahead to United Nations charters and interfered in the Nepal’s internal affairs.

Surprisingly, the general secretary of Nepali Congress party welcomed the Indian foreign minister’s speech, and it is pity that none of politicians of our country condemned the statement. I do not want to comment whether the 90 percent of poor people of Nepal are beneficiary or victims of the insurgency. However, I know, how important our sovereignty is. Even the government of Nepal has not declared the Maoists are ‘terrorists’, and trying to solve the problems through peaceful means, how come the Indian foreign minister got a mandate to say that? This is a time to think who we are and how important our national sovereignty is.
