Maoist mission

This refers to news story titled "Army to take over mission hospital in Gorkha" dated October 14, 2001, TKP.

A few months ago, I came to know that the United Mission to Nepal (UMN) would hand over the mission hospital in Gorkha to local leaders as a result of serious Maoist threat. "The Maoists do not want the foreign mission run a hospital for the poor Nepalese." This seems to have been the "lesson" taught to the Maoists by their comrades Baburam Bhattarai and Prachanda whose children are doing higher studies abroad. These two rascals preach the poor what is untrue, besides turning this country to a virtual battleground. A mission that has been providing good services to the poor has become a Maoists’ enemy. Now the mission no longer intends to provide its services to the poor. UMN has done a number of good works in this country. I know it is a Christian mission that helps the poor. I have never seen such missions run by Hindus. The objective of any Hindu mission is to earn money, sucking the blood of poor. Because the Geeta does not preach ‘selfless’ service.

It is the text of the upper class Hindus. It is the religion of those who become rich after amassing the wealth of poor. The rich never share their ideas with the poor, nor do they lend their hands to the poor. While the Christians become rich lending their hands to the poor. Although I am a Hindu, I have admired the service provided by different Christian missions in different parts of the subcontinent. I am so sorry that the UMN has had to give up its services to the poor of Gorkha and its surrounding districts.
