Brookfield, Galaxy in final

KATHMANDU, Sept 14 - The host Brookfield Academy and Galaxy Higher Secondary
School set up title clash in the 2nd Inter-HS basketball tournament following their win
over Malpi International School and Gyanodaya School respectively ,here on Friday.
In the second semifinal, Brookfield Academy registered a thrilling win over
Malpi 51-45 in extra time as the teams were tied at 41-41 in the regulation time. Backed
by the huge home crowed, Brookfield boys put on 10 points in added five minutes, while
Malpi could only gather four points. Prem Sundar and Sanjay made useful contribution with
19 and 16 points respectively for the host while Arpan and Rabi scored 18 and 17 points
respectively for the losing team.
Earlier, Galaxy overpowered Gyanodaya 57-43. Galaxy School’s Sujan and
Nagesh scored 18 and 16 points to drive their teams in the final. The final will be staged
on Sunday.
