Asian U-14 football from Oct 25

KATHMANDU (PR) - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will organise the Asian Youth Festival of Football Under-14 football tournament in Bangladesh from October 25 to November 4 this year, confirmed a press release issued here by Ganesh Thapa led All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Friday.

According to the press release, this sort of football carnival will be the first in Asia, where 11 teams of Asia will compete featuring, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakistan, Laos, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkministan and Uzbegistan.

Meanwhile, ANFA has started a three-day open selection camp from Friday at the football ground of Jawalakhel to pick up Nepali squad for the Asian Youth Festival football tournament, the press release adds.
