Needs genuine cease-fire
The Maoists have warned that if the talk process
is not resumed soon, the political leaders and human rights activists would be held
responsible for further destruction. I think this statement from the Maoists will put
pressure on government and, at the same time, they called for a five-day long Nepal bandh.
Unfortunately, they intentionally called this
bandh during the SLC examinations. Fortunately, they called off the bandh at the eleventh
hour. But what are the government, political leaders and so-called human right activists
thinking to restore peace and order ?
It seems that the government does not believe
that the Maoist leaders are not sincere in their commitment to resolving the present
crisis after they broke the cease-fire last November.
The Maoist have stepped up their attacks
rampantly in various districts by destroying infrastructures.
If the Maoists are genuinely concerned about
resolving this burning crisis and are committed to declaring a cease-fire for talks, then
the government should think about their proposal. Seriously this time around.
