No Oscar, why?

When even a small country like Bosnia grabbed the Oscar at 74th Oscar Acadamy Award, Indian media and film makers are beating a lot of excuses for not getting the award. How can four hours long movie like Lagaan win a Oscar? Indian movies are still twenty to thirty years behind comparing with the west. Not only in movies but also in education, sports, health, music, etc. Indian cinemas and TV serials show more photocopies of the west than creativity. So, how can you expect an award?

Further, whether in movies or in sports they are very much politicized, neopotism {Bhaibandi} is rampant in the day to day running.

Therefore, Indian movies and sports need more research and create something on their own. Copying and keeping one’s own family members and relatives won’t help. Unfortunately that’s the thing Indian film’s makers are not aware of and audience is less bothered about it.
