Whopping airfare

This is with reference to Satyendra Timilsina’s news report entitled "Chinese tourists love Nepal, regret steep airfare" that appeared in your daily recently.

As former Chinese Cultural Attache to Nepal Ma Weigung correctly states that one of the reasons for low tourist inflow from China to Nepal is due to the high cost of airtickets from Shanghai. In a similar vein, the foreign tourists’ inflow to Tibet via Kathmandu has significantly decreased over the years. One of the main reasons attributed by travel specialists is the very high airfare from Kathmandu to Lhasa or vice versa. It is a whopping US$ 273.00 per person for a one way flight that only takes 55 minutes. Reduction would certainly help.
