Another headache

As if the recent indefinite strike called by All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) was not enough of a trouble already, there is another call for a two-day bandh (shutdown) starting Sunday in Bagmati and Gandaki zones. If such a trend continues, then people of other zones be ready! Remember the loadshedding schedule the Nepal Electricity Authority announces in times of power shortage, and how people change their routine to cope with it. When it comes to bandhs, the only difference is that the Maoists are doing it, and that’s a threat in itself to one and all. I wonder, how long will such shutdowns rule us and the whole country? Is there no way of checking this so-called democratic tool of protesting?
