Small things matter

A few days ago, I landed at Tribhuwan International Airport after flying with Singapore Airlines. It did not take longer than 20-25 minutes in collecting my luggage delivered through a conveyor belt. Until then, it was OK. But the problem started when I could not locate a trolley for my luggage. Other passengers were also complaining about the same.

After roaming around the terminal building in panic, I found the trolleys placed in such a way that passengers seldom go there to find them. It seems that the airport authority does not pay any attention to trolleys. It shows the mismanagement and negligence on the part of the authority.

I think keeping trolleys in a convenient place is not a difficult task, and needs no additional resources. Regular attendants of the terminal can do it very easily. Without paying attention to management of such seemingly petty things, we cannot develop the tourism industry. Tourism products alone are not sufficient to lure tourists. Quality in service does matter.
