Maoist atrocities

This refers to the news story entitled "Five burnt to death in barbaric attack" (TKP, Feb 23). I want to know how the Maoists have felt after they burnt innocent passengers who were travelling in a bus. But I felt this is the limit of barbarism. Any civilised human beings will never think of committing such a gruesome attack. If the Maoists grab power, what will be the fate of this country?

Prachanda and Babu Ram Bhattarai are responsible for such an inhumane act. But who is going to punish them? Who can drag them up to court? God or the government? Is there anybody who can nab these two barbarians so that the government can bring them to justice? Or do we need to invite the US or UK to hunt for their heads?

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba cannot eliminate the Maoist insurgency, even though he repeatedly says he can. Deuba should have announced rewards for those who can kill these two criminals or arrest them. Deuba has not done anything as yet. I equate Prachanda and Babu Ram with Osama bin Laden. If the US and UK hunt for the Laden’s head, why can’t this government do so?

Deuba has not even approached New Delhi to monitor the open border and at the same time detain and extradite Nepali criminals living in India. I think Sher Bahadur Deuba should either act to arrest these two criminals or quit the post of Prime Minister so that an able leader will take up the task of eliminating the Maoists. Eliminating Prachanda and Babu Ram Bhattarai is to root out the Maoists. Now the government must locate the whereabouts of Prachanda and Bhattarai.
