Speaking at the programme Koirala also blamed the Maoists for trying to bring disorder in religious tolerance, culture and social set up of the country.

At the function, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Gopal Man Shrestha urged the Maoists to lay down arms and follow the path of peace.

Other speakers speaking at the function came heavily on the political parties for not including any programmes in their manifestos for strengthening "Hindu Kingdom".

Chief royal priest Bada Gurujyu said, "the country has been facing a cultural terrorism", adding "It is our toughest challenge to fight attacks on Hindus."
