Inter-school Judo C’ship from August 10

KATHMANDU, August 7 (PR) - Nepal Judo Association (NJA) is organising the 2nd Inter-school Judo Championship from 10th August at the Covered Hall of Dasharath Stadium. Everest Noodles Pvt Ltd is providing Rs 50,000 for the programme. The championship has been named as the "A-One Instant Noodles Talent Hunt." According to NJA officials talented students from the championship will be given special training at a closed-camp and the best will be sent to compete in the "Expo 2003 International Sports for World Peace" programme that will be organised in Lucknow from 13 October. Representatives from Everest Noodles said during a press conference held here today that some of the talented players would be groomed by Everest Noodles to encourage them to play and develop their skills. Student from ten schools from around the country will fight it out in 13 categories, 7 in boys’ and 6 in girls’.
