Timely
analysis
Dr Anup K Pahari’s
article "Negotiating an end to internal war", (Feb 3-5, 2003, TKP) was a timely,
thoughtful and fresh analysis of the current political situation in Nepal. Dr
Pahari’s basic premise that the peace can be achieved only through negotiation and
the resolution of the conflict must be hammered out between the Monarchy, the parties and
the Maoist is a valid one. His arguments are balanced and relentlessly persuasive. Nepali
diaspora of North America hopes that the political forces within Nepal will give Dr
Pahari’s line of thinking their considered thought.
