Messy landscape

What is wrong with our party politicians in Kathmandu ? I cannot believe that they are still criticising the King for taking steps to prevent them from pillaging the kingdom. Don’t they have any conscience? The past decade of so-called multi-party democracy has produced nothing but rampant corruption, lies and deceit. How can they claim to represent the will of the people? If they had listened to the people, we would never have found ourselves in such a situation, where military action is needed to bring about political stability.

I am greatly encouraged by the actions of the Commission for the Iinvestigation of Abuse of Authority, but wonder how long it will take before the so-called ‘leaders’ are held accountable for their mis-management and misdemeanour? Such action will be seen as fulfilling the demand of the people. At the same time, it is essential that all citizens support the King and his appointed representatives in holding dialogue with the Maoist insurgents in order to end the current crisis.
