Small but vital

This refers to the news story entitled "Donation raised for Myanglung fire victims", dated March 13, 2003, TKP. Three months after the devastating fire that destroyed the entire Myanglung town, the people of Biratnagar, especially Samyukta area, has collected Rs 79 thousand in order to rehabilitate the victims. This amount may not meet what the people of Myanglung want, but they have shown their sympathy towards the fire victims.

The government does not pay prompt and adequate attention to fire mishaps. If those who are in power really feel the need of the people, the country would have seen economically prosperous.
