First Priority: Collect The Dues

Electricity prices have gone up and it is going to affect a lot of people. There may be no denying that prices rarely comes down once that it has been hiked. But, what I see is that the electricity authority brings out notices and there are also news reports at times that speak of massive amount that many hotels, industries, municipalities, etc. have to pay. It seems that instead of collecting the dues, prices are raised. It would be better to collect the huge arrears and prevent leakages then only the question of price hikes can be raised. The majority of the people in the country may not be effected by the increase in electricity tariff but those who have access are definitely are at the losing end. So, efficiency must increase as well as realise the dues that big customers owe to the electricity office.
